That's a quarter a pack, youngsters.

 

Back in the '50s Philip Morris sold smokes for 23 cent a pack. The Vending machines didn't take cents. You deposited 25 cent and the pack of cigarettes had 2 shiny cents between the cellophane and the paper label. I remember Old Gold cigarettes included Gold Bond trading stamps and another brand included S & H green stamps. This was in the '60s.

 

50 years earlier . . . .
