In Lieu of a Top Ten List

Inasmuch as I've acquired only nine coins in the last three years, it's mathematically impossible for me to post a Top Ten for 2021 list (the proof is left as an exercise for the reader).

Instead I've updated the coin collage (https://www.cointalk.com/threads/i-like-coins.373304/page-2#post-5408309) that I posted in January of this year so that it now contains all my coins including the five Hadrian aurei, three sestertii (one each of Hadrian, Tiberius, and Caligula) and one quadrigatus that are new since the previous picture.



All coins are shown in their exact proportional size and the picture is 2560 x 1600 pixels, with room at the top and bottom for a menu bar and dock, resp. I use it for the desktop background on my laptop.

My coins are nothing in comparison but I also made a pile for a background image but mine was meant to be tiled so it would fill any size screen with repeats. I felt it made some icons hard to see so I faded it quite a bit. To get the effect, you have to load it as a wallpaper and select 'tile' option.

 

Nice collection. All that gold looks sparkly.

 

Wowzers. That is a huge quantity of quality!!!

I doubt I have a single coin worthy of adding to that group. Maybe my Agrippa comes close-ish?

An absolutely wonderful display and collection. I admire the amount of effort it will have taken to size each coin accurately; it's been a couple years since I've refreshed my collection collage and it's hard enough when I've chosen to keep them all the same size!

 

Oh my God ! I'm in a state of shock . So many exquisite coins in one photo is beyond my comprehension.....

 

Amazing - great collage & quite something the perfection of most of those coins! I think it might be hard to find 3 of that quality a year. Best wishes for 4 next year
