Amazing. For those of us who dont subscribe, how about a quick summary?

He found 'em in a roll of direct ship 2010 Native American dollars (Denver Mint). This should really stir up the members here that do the direct ship thingy.....

Neat story. Now let's see if any of us can repeat that discovery!

I have been avoiding opening up the sealed boxes. Do you think I am being a little too caution about the whole "keep in orginal seal" concept?

    Thanks,

    In a word: yes.

In more words: Unless you enjoy having your golden dollar "hoard" in its original packing, tear that bad boy open and get your hands on those coins. Just ask yourself if you are a coin collector or a coin packaging collector. I consider myself the former. Now where you stand it completely up to you.

The 2010 Native American Dollars via the Direct ship program are still on sale from the U.S. Mint. That is where this Zachary Taylor dollar was found. I'm curious to see how this news will affect the prices of rolls and boxes sold on eBay.

I have not decided yet. I actually purchased these for two reasons. One, there are pretty. Two, I like the paper stuff less and less. Metal is more interesting to me.

My favorite so far is the Indian maiden with the young child. I have several boxes. Naturally, my savings account is about empty and the charge card is maxed out. - Oh well. I still have those nice small boxes to think about opening someday. :hail:

    Thanks, I needed that.

I do feel bad at times. Yet, when an order arrives, I start feeling pretty good again.

I am getting closer to making a decision to narrow down my focus/ambitions/desires. For example, reducing my wish list and time frame for acquisitions.

If just seems like I missed out on a lot of years.

Can't think of what has been lost (missed). Concentrate on the "here and now" as well as the future.

it is easier to put some prez dollars within the sac dollar roll. anyway you have to open it up to see if the prez dollars are inserted within a roll. so it is easy to say i got it too.
