I would trade you a Peace Dollar for a CC. ^_^

    I got:

    1x CC
    1x O
    3x S
    3x D
    3x P
    3x Peace

I’m hoping to get another CC & O so I have 2 complete sets.

Just got my coins back from NGC. All MS70 except the Denver minted Morgan that came at MS 69. I knew it would not get 70 as there was a small nick on the obverse in the field at 2 o'clock.

    Nice! Congrats!

I noticed from PCGS population reports that the D’s have the lowest percentage of 70s relative to submissions.

I was shocked to see that the population reports show a D that was graded MS62 o_O

That means it looked like this.

How on Earth would someone not notice that?? Why would they even send it in?

I am really curious to see how the 2x CCs and 2x Os I bought from JMB grade. If more than 1 CC &/or O gets the 70 grade it means they aren’t pre-screened like popularly believed.

I don’t like this business of grading coins minted last week. But if you can get a 70, it might be a trip to see what you can sell it for. Remember that many buyers complained about flaws in the Morgans.

I'm just into the peace dollars. Popular series, first year (because let's face it there'll be more) extremely low mintage. There were over a million 1921 peace dollars. Opening price, astronomical for an ounce of silver. I don't think it'll be a 4 figure coin tomorrow. But I do think if you aren't 80 it's not a bad idea to have a few laying around the safe. I bought a first strike centennial label. It came today and was so stunning that I went ahead and caved and bought a FDOI centennial label.

I know for me personally getting them slabbed ASAP partly ensures that they will remain in the condition I got them in.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen coins that people leave in the OGP in a closet for 20 years and when they pull them out they have all kinds of problems like weird toning or little scuffs that somehow appear. Even with capsules!

Like some 1982 commemoratives my mom gave me and some Olympic commems.

But with slabs I’ve noticed they tend to do a great job at keeping the coins as they are. I’m not saying things don’t happen but I definitely think a coin is safer in a slab.

No - I just mark them up /price them around market - sell on bourse in OGP

if offered to me slabbed or raw I buy at pct of CPG: OGP, slabbed MS69 / MS70. Then of course price for retail sell accordingly.
