Interesting: My Red Book lists four known examples of the 1853-O without arrows and rays. This coin is a six figure item.

The 1853-O with rays also has arrows at the date.

So, unless there is an issue out there that the Red Book doesn't list, this coin is:

    - an anomaly, maybe a new find or,
    - Worn to the point that the arrows are gone or,
    - Post-mint alteration

Well.... We still can't see the photo. And this is a coin you need us to look at. If genuine, you may have something.

Lighting and angles can make coins look completely different in photos than they really are.
With that being said, I would not touch that coin unless it was heavily discounted or the seller had a 100% no-questions-asked return policy.
Everything about the surfaces of that coin look bad. Appears polished to me or something like that.

To me it looks like it was cleaned using Baking Soda, with extra scrubbing in the Right Field.
