I feel the same way about Saint Gauden's Double Eagles, but then again, I don't go around the coin forums telling the guys who have seen hundreds of Saints that they don't know how to grade because I saw picture on Photograde.

And as mentioned before sometimes it's best to just be quiet. It's fine to ask questions to learn, but bashing or making statements on something isnt learning

While most of what you say is fair, we do need to mention that this coin has been in at least every grade from MS 66 to MS 67+...it was graded double digit times and the 67+ grade was only given on one occasion. So even PCGS didn't think it was a 67+ the majority of the time.

I know what you mean. I will never do that. I recognize the limits on Photograde can't match the expertise of the people here.

I'm not sure why I thought this coin was a 1958-D, but now that I realize that it is a 58-P, it makes it even more incredible.

I know that the coin has upgraded several times over the years, and we should all recognize that PCGS has changed the way they grade monster toners over the last few years. What surprises me about this coin is that it is totally recognizable, yet continues to garner different grades every time it is submitted. One would think that wouldn't happen with a coin with this level of notoriety, but I guess PCGS really is that big.

It's odd since the grading all happened in a short span. There must be enough different people seeing it to cause the variance as I agree that a coin like that should be familiar if the same grader ran into it multiple times in the span of a few years.
