The Fr 100 came in today and just wanted to image them (Jack-A**es) together.. Hope you like them as much as I do..They all have the common back. RickieB
Guy's.. if you invert the notes the Eagle takes the apperance of a Jack-A**. The Eagles wings become the Jack-A**es Ears..LOL Feel free to copy the image and rotate it 180 degrees and you will see it.. Thanks for stopping by...I have such a long way to go... I just picked up another Large Size Blue Seal NY that I needed for the NY set Series 1914..that will be here in a few days.. 2 more to complete the 1914 New York $5 Blue Seal Issues. RickieB
I forgot to add that at current, there are just over 50 pieces of the Fr 100 known. I would like to thank a special friend for helping me obtain this rare note. RickieB
Very nice! I really like the last one with the bright red seal and blue serial numbers. That note (any jackass) is probably in my top 3 large size notes I'd like to add to the collection someday. btw: I was checking to see which note had the highest population on PMG and FR107 had 269. They have a population of 61 for FR100 so it seems like there would have to be well over 50 known on that one. As for why it's called a jackass note, if you turn the eagle... upside down... ...it sort of looks like a donkey.
The Population report I was going by was a little aged..thanks for the update. I no longer have access to PCGS reports.. I am currently inquiring about the Fr 102 as wll in a PMG 64EPQ. This will complete the Series 1880 Large Size Brown Seals and Red Serial Numbers for the $10 Legal Tender Notes for me..one of my favorite notes and most favorite seal. Regards, RickieB
Nice Notes, RickieB! Do you happen to know if the JackA** was created out of coincidence or is there are back story to them?
Pretty sure it was totally unintentional....and why does everyone type Jacka** instead of Jackass? I doubt anyone is offended by that term and if they are, they really shouldn't be on the internet at all.
Probably has a lot to do with Rule #1 of CT Not that I mind it either way, the stars just coyly point out a 'curse'-like word that anyone of any age who can read can probably figure out for themselves. FWIT: We never see stuff like: A**a**ination, a**ociation nor a*inine spelled with self-censored type, but if we do, we still get the point. :smile
Beautiful set of notes ,the bright red seal is my favorite ,a piece of art in the vignette alone !Congrats ,good friend 's to have when your talking pop reports that low to find such high grade notes..
