So I did make it to the Long Beach coin show today...thanks to my girlfriend and an early valentines day present of Cash for coins! I have never been to a show that large, and it was really great to be able to see that many coins and collectors in one place..I met a few really nice dealers that I hope to do business with again in the future...I also got the pleasure of meeting Charmy"The Penny Lady".... I wanted to post some pics of some of my newps, unfortunately my camera battery died before I got them all loaded into my computer so I just have one.... This is another coin for my fathers birthyear commem. set....I put a guess the grade poll on this thread just for fun..Please post some of your newps from Long Beach or anywhere....
Thanks....I was really pleased with it and the price...I'll post what PCGS graded it later today or tomorrow.
Here is a pic of another one of my LongBeach purchases,..For my MS-64 Morgan set,,,Gotta say the marks on the face really show in these larger pics,,,I may have to replace this one...
Why replace it? Pictures sometimes make the bag marks look worse than they are on Morgans. That coin looks purdy nice to me.
You're probably right,...Since I am kindof a collector/hoarder of coins I will probably never replace it, but if I find another with better eye appeal It may go in the set instead....It is a pretty common date/mint.
Sorry......Totally spaced....PCGS gave it MS-66fb.....I was comparing it to my 1940S that NGC grade MS67 and I have to say this coin is just as nice, if not nicer...I may see a crossover in my future,,,Thanks everyone who took the poll... now back to that darn scramble...
