ive searched loads of trusted coin error sites for info. When I first found this coin I just threw it in a box of probably vice jobs, but the condition of the coin considering it’s over 50yrs old is pretty It’s had a battering and is warped but theres no sign of tampering no stretch marks that are consistent with manipulation with pliers and some tissue or a vice. The blisters and gouges could be due to a production failure but Is it possible for a coin to leave the mint bent ?
OK cheers even so Im keeping the coin just for the fact that it looks like its been run over by a train but somehow still looks EF
Agreed .. if it was a 1963 I would have suspected that it may have been in JFK'S pocket and received the delicate damage via the magic bullet
Yep, very obvious PMD. "Defdam", as @paddyman98 says. Definitely damaged. Poor Lizzie and her lion pal took a few hard knocks.
