A $2.50 coin is a great idea. I always thought of them in terms of $2 based on Canada and UK coinage. Those classic gold coins are the finest around for sure!

these modern commemorative $5.00 unc gold coins are even better than buffaloes or eagles. these were just raw coins with complete box and c.o.a.

    1997 f. roosevelt - $180.00, now $1,550.00
    2001 capitol vision - $180.00, now $2,050.00

that's the latest prices. the prices of some am buffaloes, earlier first spouses, and some modern commemorative gold coins were up again even the gold went down. while the w am eagle unc from 2006 to 2008 were steady at their high prices. the all date proof am eagle gold were down heavily instead. down 25%.

I was just perusing eBay completed auctions and I was very surprised to see the "Presidential Signature Sets" from 2008 (the ones with the BEP engraving and the proof dollar) selling for $100-175. I don't see you ever posting their numbers ('07 and '08). Do you have them? I almost didn't by the 2008's myself but I'm kind of a Pres/Spouse completist!

Yeah! Government 'non essential' offices/operations are shut down... there must not be much demand for bullion during the blizzard :rolling:

They could at least report their record breaking snow fall in one season, already 54.9" inches of snow!

Mad at the US mint not anyone here

I have found out many times that ones now that are outcast now,in a few year they tour in to costly coins like all the 1986-2008 ASE Proofs I always get my 10 coin limit a year for gift & thing like that.but not last year and that really PI$# me off!! the mint made 209million AME and that to me is crazy

I have a feeling there is a chance with the Braille dollars too, not because of their design or packaging, and not mintage based either because it's higher than other commems. A lot more to do with just being overlooked and 2009 left a lot of collectors out for one reason or another: Mint household limits and those on serious cutback budgets. 2009 may prove to have a lot of importance in the current and future collectors level of importance in coins of this date.

Elaine: Do you have mintage figures for all years of the US Mint wrapped Kennedy Half 2 roll/sets (P&D)? Not including bag numbers and not including other Halves' mintages. ONLY roll set figures for each year they were available. Thank you. :)

The question was also posted here previously.

before i do have it. but since no body asking about it and i don't have those coins. i deleted it due to no more space on my pc stick. i have deleted modern commemorative mintage on individual items. like 2 pc set, 3 pc set and so forth. i kept the total mintage on each issue. i also deleted the westward nickel rolls mintages. the statehood rolls mintages. the sac dollar and the kennedy half dollar rolls mintages.
maybe i am too busy on gold and stock market.

Well thanks for getting back to me Elaine. That's too bad you deleted the info as it is kind of hard to trace specific breakdowns of numbers online. There is a site called oddballpriceguide.com that should have such info but it's only subscription I think and mintdatabase.com doesn't have this specific breakdown either. Maybe the Mint will eventually release this info to dealers in CDN or RedBook will get around to figuring out the numbers in a future edition. Thanks again.
