Well this Morgan has a few interesting things going on. Blob in front of her nose.
Raised area or clashing on to of date .
Not so cool though I noticed on the reverse near the rim alot of scratches .
Details Grade fresh from the mint? HaHa

Yup, Philly did a bad job on their share of the morgans. I think maybe they have been overwhelmed by having three types to mint. What ever it is, they screwed up one of mine as well. I can't imagine the reason the rim got so scratched, pmd.

I am curious what caused it , the lines are so straight and there are so many . There are also a few single scratched above UNI of United . One per letter and one just past the I

I'm sure @paddyman98 can answer your questions. Can you give better
pics of the nose and issues?

I am not concerned with the nose really. its just a glob of extra silver.

Yes but I am not concerned with it.The blob is interesting. The scratches are the concerning part.

    Clash?

The morgan surface is so big I guess it is more prone to have small specks of metal struck through on it.

    The scratches are interesting.

    Vertigo Did someone say bust?

I have a friend who got one from Denver like this. I didn't see a picture of the scratch. But it was so bad he offered to give me the coin. It came from the mint the way it was too.

Could the marks on the rim be from a damaged bit of machinery in the upsetting mill when the rims were formed? Just speculation on my part.

You just have to love the US Mint Quality Control. Think these were bad; wait until you get the 2022s.
