This coin (not mine) seems to be a bit mysterious.

    marc aurele cesar.jpg

Obv.: ΑΥΡΗΛΙΟС ΟΥΗΡΟС ΚΑΙСΑΡ (Aurelius Verus Caesar), draped and cuir. bust of... who else than young Marcus Aurelius right?
rev.: ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ Τ ΑΙΛ ΑΔΡΙA ΑΝΤѠΝΙΝΟС СЄΒ ЄΥСЄΒ (Imp. Caes. T. Aelius Hadrianus Antoninus Aug. Pius), Antoninus Pius on horseback galloping l., raising r. hand.
The legends may be blundered on some obv. or rev. dies.

This coin is RPC IV.3, 3982 (temporary), average diam. 23 mm, average weight 8.88 g. In RPC they consider Province, Region, City, Reign, Person (obv.) and Issue as "Uncertain" and describe the obverse as "bare-headed bust of uncertain emperor (youthful - short beard) wearing (cuirass and paludamentum), r.".

Some specimens have been auctioned, others are for sale on Vcoins.

Are there people on this board who have this coin in their collection?

Just to recall that Antoninus Pius was the adoptive son of Emperor Hadrian. I had a coin which reads both names of the 2 Emperors on obverse. Hope that helps.

Haven't seen the type before, but it's certainly Marcus Aurelius as Caesar under Antoninus Pius. Lucius Verus is not known to have appeared on coinage prior to 161, after Pius' death

I'm not sure where it's from, but I agree that it's Marcus Aurelius as Caesar. The obverse portrait looks like him, and it has the same obverse legend as this coin from my collection:
    MarcusAurelius.JPG
    Marcus Aurelius
    Caesar, A.D. 139-161
    Augustus, A.D. 161-180

    Provincial Bronze (AE26)
Moesia Inferior, Nikopolis ad Istrum, before A.D. 161
    Obv: AVPHΛIOC OVHPOC KAICAP
Rev: NEIKOΠOΛEITΩNΠPOC IC - Serapis, standing left, holding scepter and sacrificing with patera over altar.
Unlisted in Moushmov [or RPC?]; unpublished?
    26mm, 11.0g.

As a needless tangent, I sent this information and photo to RPC online and never heard back from them. I'm not sure why not. I haven't been able to find it anywhere in their database. Perhaps they've already recorded it and I've missed it?
