Was going through some singles today and this one caught my eye. I’ve seen a ton of ink transfers and maybe a few misaligned numbers here and there but I haven’t see one to compare to like this? Can’t tell if it’s a transfer or what but it also it appears that the digits are starting to misalign as it nears the end?
Interesting. I've not seen that before. Things happen so fast on the presses. Just a guess but I'd say that the serial number register was still spooling when that happened. Wait for a currency person to stop by.
Interesting error but I wouldn’t think it has a lot of value. Looks like that corner of the note got stuck and the right side printed again as it passed through. Hang onto it.
Thanks folks. Yeah not too sure what happened as I don’t come across these. Not too worried about value. Not unless it’s something that will get me a new dodge hellcat. Hahahahaha. but yes it seems the entire front of the bill has ink issues including the serial number on bottom left. There is a bunch of over inking but that right side serial numbers just didn’t look right to me. here’s left side
I don’t see signs of over inking, I do see signs of the bill moving while being printed. More so on the right side than the left.
Interesting "blur" or "stutter" on the serial number. The left one is just a smear, but still, adds to the interest, IMHO.
I don’t know anything about bill errors. It definitely looked like a solid error of some type. I assume it’s nothing to really write home about but still a keeper?
thanks for your input. I personally don’t know what you call these style of errors and such so I tried to search to find some examples to compare to but no luck haha. Im learning slowly.
