hello, first i do not know anything about notes but recently i came across a few and i do not know if they are real and i would like some help please. first one is 5 dollar silver certificate with indian on the front second is a 10 with a buffulo and lewis and clark on front, third is500 gold certificate with lincoln on front and last is10,000 federal reserve note series of 1918 with chase on front. now all look to me to be real but they all are not like paper money, they are thick and look to be laminated maybe. are these real or just replicas. thanks in advance for your time.
Those sound like high dollar notes or copy's to me. Need soe pictures to help decided but I'm guessing yes for now
I am gonna go ahead and guess that they are copies, I think they are only 4 known examples of the 1918 10,000 note and only 300 or so printed during the life span of the 10,000 note from 1861-1945.I could be wrong about all this though, we will have to wait for someone with more knowledge chime in...
thank you to everyone, i am getting photos soon. these notes where said to be found in the back of an old picture hanging on the wall. my main question is,where these notes made of thicker material? also they are real shiny and smooth, is this normal? again thank you, im going to work on them pics
I agree that these sound like copies of these notes. Keep them anway as the Vignettes are really spectacular! RickieB
do any of those bills have any color on em? they all look black and white? without color somewhere, serial numbers etc., they're not real
