That's cool. I like to watch the Smithsonian channel when they show archeologists working with Egyptian, Greek, and other countries. I saw a show a couple of weeks ago where they found gold coins among the ruins. I assume that a popular museum will get them, if somebody gets them first. Has anyone collected our found coins from Pompeii?
There was a series on PBS a few years ago about Caligula. It was interesting how he was portrayed. The character stuttered and although he allowed sexually explicit parties, he didn't participate. Evidently, he became the Emperor Ceasar by default. Is the book that is portrayed in English? I read mostly Louis L'Amour Westerns, mostly for the history of the west. There are also references to coins and coin exchanges.
