Rim anomaly Spanish 50 Pesetas

This appears on opposing sides (obv and rev left side as you view it), how do I call it for my notes and what caused it?

Maybe a Dual Misaligned Die Strike.

 

What about a collar clash that affected both dies?

 

I believe it was in a bezel worn as a necklace. The nicks around the rim looks like it was worn as jewelry.

 

Good thought. I have imaged the edge and it appears to have a mark running around it

 

Yes a lot of time when a jeweler is mounting a coin if not in a solid bezel, they will do 4 wrap arounds the coin at the 4 locations of 10 & 2 8 & 4 much easier to mount and keep secure.

 

Collar clash can't affect both dies because the anvil die is enclosed within the collar so it can't clash against it.
