Not my best and no comparison to the above. But this one with BC mm (or moneyer initials) on the edge is $20 in Krause for fine condition. With this mm (moneyer initials) is $100 in fine. I know it has some rim damage at 5oclock. Got it for $10 and melt is $7.20 right now.

After seeing a photo of this coin I understand why you’d LCS wanted to have them slabbed first. Beautiful!!

 

Picked this set up from Daniel Carr. The Brass version has a pop of 4 (mine is the only one sold to public) and the others are low as well (between 16 and 24).

 

Yeah, when I bought them the owner asked me if I could tell him the grades I got when they came back. The other was this PR64 Seated Liberty Dime. He was applying to be an NGC dealer so my guess is that he was planning on sending the rest in one batch to them. There were quite a few proof seated dimes and quarters in the collection. I'm sure it will end up being more profitable for him. Good for him, he's a real nice guy.

 

basically, started collecting coins again after a 40 year hiatus..and since was the year of corona, did so mostly on ebay, i buy 90% of my coins on there, and great collections and heritage, though those last two are way overpriced, and charge you for the privilege of buying from them which i think is assinine, when i was younger any auction, even ones you actually go to with a paddle, never e ver charged a fee to buy....but anyways..these are my two largest buys this year, from great collections..and i had to bid on over 120 gold lots to get them...i also bought 2 small, really small (really) 1/2 gram coins. one proof from mongolia and the other a copy of some ancient coin..both for 50.00 ea..well past gouging territory for spot price in my book {foot-note} the label tore on the holder when i went to take off their acuction sticker..

 

back when i was 13, i bought one in ag-3 with the original ana photograde black & white coa for a customer of min'e want list, an older gentleman who used to stop by my hous every 2 weeks to peruse my wares, this helped him complete his set..i was so happy when i found one at a show for him, i had to call and see if he wanted it....he sure did..

 

Definitely my favorite three for the year that I purchase I especially like the price nickel because of the backstory of the 1970s San Francisco shenanigans

 

Sounds like you have a good relationship with him.

 

I've both bought and sold coins from him and feel he's very fair and trustworthy. He lets the Wisconsin Valley Coin Club have their meetings in his shop.

I sold a nice ungraded one about 6 years ago when I was in the process of buying my now retirement home. I'm hoping to find a nice slabbed one in 2022.

 

My best purchase was 4 rolls of quarters from work that was loaded with proofs and silver proofs.
