2021 was a slow year for me. Added less than 20 coins to my collection of pre 1500 A.D. dated coins. A mix of upgrades and new pieces. By my figuring, I lost the bid on 63 coins. Many by several multiples of my bid and I try to bid relatively strong. Oh well. There will be 2 or 3 threads over the next couple of days. These pieces were minted in Germany. Forum member, @messydesk, took the pictures. He created them at this years ANA. He did an excellent job. I highly recommend him!! This was the only gold piece. The date is on the left image starting at 5 o'clock M CCCC XXXVIII As the preceding piece, this is from Germany. Again the date starts at 5 o'clock M CCCC XLIIII. The date starts at 9 o'clock. The "4" is of the Medieval style, looks like a ribbon. This is a Uniface Pfennig. The date (14)96 has the "9" at 9 o'clock and the "6" at 3 o'clock. The date starts at 9 o'clock. There is an inverted "V" representing the number "7"
