Help with 2 US coins possible errors

    Im back again are either of these errors or damage please ? Any comments are always greatly appreciated.

    1988 US cent The No. 8 has a defect ?

    The surface is rough and in god we trust defective too

    The 1988 has circulation wear and a worn die strike which causes Die Deterioration doubling aka worthless doubling.
    The 1952 Dime is Silver and dirty and damaged.

    And…the designers initials are normal, what is called sans-serif…meaning this ‘88 is not a Reverse of 1989 variety.

    The cent is a lousy Zincoln and has plating issues. The dime is silver, but ED, environmentally damaged, but still worth the silver value, or 10¢ if you spend it.

    Keep the dime, put the cent in the ground, paddyman will find it for sure.

    I think your 1988d has a 1989 reverse. The FG initials. (The G). Looks like it has that horizontal thingy. @Spark1951

    I have Quite a few 1988’s saving for the grandkids and a rainy day to go thru. Must have a couple in there. To small for me.

    Honestly when I started collecting coins those 1988 where kinda the first search coin I was going after. So I saved them all. Still not any closer then day one. Cuz I just can tell the difference. Thanks for you and @justyn p my son is Justen
