Does anyone know if these were issued like this at any time, or if the holder was originally from a different SBA?

Are you asking if the mint issued Suzzie B's in Capital Plastic holders? If so, then no, they did not.

The holder is an capital plastics single dollar holder for the SBA dollar. No to my knowledge that was an after mint addition .Now you need the near/ or close date specimen for the matched pair.

It's just an SBA in and aftermarket Capital Plastics holder.

I understand why you would question the holder. I used to collect 1950’s proof sets and it seemed I always found them in Capital plastic. For years I thought that 1950’s era proof sets were issued by the mint in Capital plastic…… I think that before the TPG’s, the Capital holders provided the best coin protection.

Thanks. To be honest, not having been coin collecting before I inherited this collection a couple of years ago, I am still at the novice level. My Father taught me, if you don't know the answer, ask someone who does. And it also explains why there is a 1964 Proof 5 coin set in a Capitol holder .
