Nice set...60-plus years old, now, and coins look great, esp the cent...good to keep in Cap holder box to protect from scratches, light, etc.

This one isn't much to look at but I thought the upside down lincoln was pretty cool.

Understand completely, but the current sets...many/most of them...are not silver as they once were and are priced too high to begin with...plus also not affordable for the ridiculously-priced silver proof sets, also as they once were...and coin-collecting for many as for you, too, I'm sure, isn't purely investment strategy. That said...if only I had it to do over again.

Amen, Mac. I have never approached collecting as an investment strategy. However, the US Mint is taking the simple fun out of collecting by charging 3 or 4 times melt for the coins. And, as @JeffC notes, the packaging quality has taken a big dive.

Here is my favorite one from the prestige series. Notice the ring around the Olympic dollar. 20211114_140412.jpg 20211114_140438.jpg

I didn't know the Susan B Anthony was sold by itself as a proof. Look at the box they provided for that non-silver version back then.

I have one and just dug it out. The coin is in beautiful condition for as long as it has been in the capsule.

They sold the Proof and Unc SBA coins by themselves. The 1979-1981 versions finally ran out and the Mint struck more late in 1999. It was well after the annual proof and mint sets were released, so they were sold on their own. These were available for several years after 1999.
