Saw this ad on facebook from Bradford Exchange, offering replica Morgan and Peace dollars for the years that they were never minted. It's a monthly or bimonthly subscription. What caught my attention was the photo for issue #1. I wonder if they're really offering a mule or if they just don't know what the front and back of a Morgan look like. LOLOLOLOL. A friend of mine had a ton of that stuff from Bradford, Franklin and others. He got it from his dad after the dad passed. He tried to sell it but never could. He started with me and then others. Nobody wanted anything to do with it.
Among my hand-me-downs are very, very beautiful medals from The Franklin Mint, dating back to the 70's. The artwork was really intricate and stunning. I should post some of them this weekend. But nowadays, The Franklin Mint has nothing... What happened to them?
They offered to pay me $10 per coin to take them & show my support by displaying & showing them to people...I refused!
Novelty tokens that will never be worth what was paid for them. Like a late night TV infomercial offer pushing stuff on old people. JMO
Twenty years ago my son worked the weekend at a flea market sweeping and emptying trash so he could buy me a set of fake Morgan’s for Fathers Day. I still have them and to this day I would never tell him that he worked that entire weekend for a set of fakes.
I wonder if they REALLY are issuing Morgans with a Peace Dollar reverse. But I can't afford $48 for a silver plated replica, to find out.
