COINS, COLCHIS, KOLCHIS, HEMIOBOL 1, MARC BREITSPRECHER.jpg
Here's a dearly loved hemiobol of Colchis /Kolchis, c. 5th c. BCE into the 4th. ...I'm skeptical about the late side of the chronology, but with Colchis being way up there on the west coast of the Caucasus, who can say?
...Yes. Now it's time to get some Medieval love up in here. Post Anything, from Anywhere.

@Sulla80, that's truly great. Making me wish that I was as literate in Islamic stuff of the period as I wish I was. ...Um, just starting with the language. But only going back to Ayyubid prototypes, this is brilliant.

First, I will add another head to the plate, this is a severed head minted in 115 or 116 BC.

Here's a one handed horseman, fighting with his left hand only, riding with a severed Gallic head in hand. The horseman is the tough, fighting praetor in 197 BC, and grandfather of moneyer M. Sergius Silus.

And to answer the "Next" of @GinoLR - here is a coin that appears to have been defaced intent. A little grafitt added to convey a simple message about the state of concord (Concordia on the obverse) between Mark Antony and Octavian. Note: the dagger slashing one of the wrists on the reverse.
