American gold eagle coin?

I wonder about the American Gold Eagle Coins, the 1/10 size. Does anyone collect these small fractionals? I would like to know if the US Mint has these modified each year so the same looking coin is not made year after year. Is there a small adjustment made? The reason I'm asking is because I have 3 different years and to me they all look different than each other, especially around the eyes.
    Anyone?

No, I dont collect (premium is outrageous) but I do own a couple (came in sets).
No changes yearly, that I'm aware of. The only change is the date. If you think you see something, post pics but chances are it's because of a strong vs weak strike.

  4. I do not own any of the 1/10 oz. AGEs but am considering the 2006-2008Ws series though due to the relatively low mintage and likely end to that burnished series. TC

There are always going to be tiny differences because of the die making process - on any coin. But there have been no design changes that I am aware of. They have made new hubs from time to time.

People seem to collect gold as either bullion or for type sets. Not too many people seem to collect the series by date. However, that might make your collection more unique.

I use to get the 1/10 and 1/4 oz from the mint. When gold hit a $1000 (can not remember the last date) I sold all the gold and platinum I had. They were complete sets at that time. The reason for selling was that they really were not special to me - just bullion. I did keep all my ASE's and have three sets of those. So I do like them.
