I was just messin with ya! As a contrast, looking at the 2001 Sac's vs the current Sac's and presidential dollars is quite revealing. The edge lettered coins just don't seem to have that much of an edge compared to the non-edge lettered coins.
I'm still sorting through rolls of 2009 Native American $1s and so far almost all the coins have some nasty marks on the face of the obverse or the rear of the reverse. Those features stick out the most. They are the highest points on each side. The ones without any significant marks on the face or the butt I put aside for further review, later on. I've only gone through 3 rolls and so far only 4 coins have been pulled for re-review. These 2009 D coins are pretty roughed up. I thought they would have to be better than the bags but who knows? I've had no probably spending them though. One kid thought it was a quarter until I told him to read it! No matter how ignorant, most people know what the $1 symbol means. Bruce
.....eagles have never interested me and so of course i wouldn't waste my time trying to prove a point.
Since you think I am full of it, I went to get the pop report at NGC and they have graded 2,346,082 silver eagles and 110,265 are graded MS70. So that avg out to 4.6 per 100 submitted. You also have to remember that most of the coins are sorted through to find the 70's before sending them in. :eat:
