Yet another Titus Caesar bronze. Boy, do I love these coins! This one is somewhat harshly cleaned, but I think a lot of the original eye appeal remains. Titus as Caesar [Vespasian] Æ Dupondius, 11.63g Rome mint, 73 AD Obv: T CAESAR IMP COS II CENS; Head of Titus, radiate, bearded, r. Rev: CONCORDIA AVGVSTI; S C in exergue; Concordia std. l., with patera and cornucopiae RIC 613 (C). BMC 669. BNC 673. Acquired from London Ancient Coins, October 2021. A very common Concordia dupondius struck for Titus Caesar during his joint censorship with Vespasian in 73. This seated Concordia type is more frequently encountered on the dupondii and rarely on the As issues. Feel free to share your Concordia coins!
