My son found this in his change a couple of days ago.
Thought I would share. There is still silver floating around out there.

Nice find! And not to rain on your parade, but there is tons of silver still out there! (below is a pile I found one day in about 6,000$ of half dollars)

No rain here just Snow VERY COOL PILE YOU HAVE THERE:bow:
Almost makes me want to start roll searching. But when I was roll searching Halves a year ago I kept finding rolls that someone had marked the obverse and reverse of tons of them with a red permanent marker. That was when I was looking for die varieties. VERY disappointing

Nice find. How did you son recognize the coin? Is he also a collector?

All about keeping it up! I went though almost 100k in half dollars to get runs like that. I would also do weeks with 12k of skunks. You find tons of silver with a little luck and a LOT of sheer numbers. Keep up the good search! best of luck! (PS: half dollars from bank of America seems to be the best.)

  14. Excellent find. It is much tougher to find a silver quarter in circulation these days than either a silver dime or half. TC
