Hey everyone ! So, I was cleaning up my "spare" room and discovered a coin that I haven't seen in years . I "dug" this and somehow misplaced until now. It was in a folder of an old file cabinet that I cleaned out . Now it goes back in my collection . It's just amazing the condition it is in ! Have you ever ,misplaced a coin and discovered it years later ?

1927? That's not that old. I've never misplaced a coin, but i have misplaced my sanity. You seen it @SensibleSal66? I thought i left it over here.

I have hidden a coin I have yet to find. shiny 1917 Standing Liberty Quarter. It was probably cleaned, but it hasn't been rediscovered yet. But it's only been about 50 years.

@Marshall I also am missing a 1912 Canadian Large Cent . If I find it , that will be the time you'll find yours which means never.:arghh:

That so odd, i lost three 1916 D dimes, and four 1909 S v.d.b. cents the other day. Can you help me look, please?

You're probably right. It's probably underneath the insulation in the attic somewhere where I could get to it when I was 10, now under a ton of new insulation and where I will never go again.

I believe the question was have you ever lost a coin and my answer to that is yes but it was meant to be spent. As for loosing a coin from my collection, no but I am in the process of find many a coin that I bought and never opened the package.

I lost alot of coin at the HardRock in Tampa last weekend does this count? :)

I do know there is probably a small fortune that has fallen behind one of my safes though. I gotta do an inventory soon and move that sucker. :)

Nice find and recovery find on the large cent!
