Am I Missing Something?

Perhaps this is some sort of rare variety I'm not aware of...but still, doesn't this seem a bit pricey for a 1907 Liberty Nickel?

I know nothing about these except the highest Heritage has managed for one was just over $4,000 and it looked a lot nicer than the one in GSC's pictures.

 

You have to admit thats a nice coin!! But worth that much??

Nope, you aren't missing anything, and you are especialy not missing a ton of money.

 

Good lord...well that is why I stay away from their coins, people get "bid" happy on their juiced photos and declarations of PQ. Sigh....

 

not only PQ..... but PQ PQ!!! thats an extra couple grand right there.

 

Well, I wish I had that kind of money to throw at my coin collection! Not that I'd pay seven grand on one coin, but it is nice to dream...

 

My standard rule: For that much money, no slab = no interest.
Plus too many dings for me to consider it "Gem", never mind PQ.
Might make "Choice".
