I think 72 was really when the dcams really started being intentionally produced by the mint. Or at least they changed the process or die preps more often to get more dcam proofs in the holders. 79 in hand. @Beardigger if we hadn't swapped, that'd be number 90. On my way to 100 of those alone!

1951 D. Beat to all get up. Poor silver.
Year looks off center, to me.

Well I guess with as many coins as it seems you go through, your odds are better than most.

Some bored CT member has been sending me various packages of nickels lately. Today I received an envelope with 4 1958 nickels and a 1944 wheat Penny. 1 1958 P nickel and 3 1958 D nickels. Although the mintages are far apart (1958 P = 17M + and 1958 D = 168M+). The D nickel is considered more rare then the P, which I don't understand......anyway....I appreciate them all, and offer a HUGE Thank you to my Benefactor. It's always a nice surprise to get an envelope from this person!
I have begun a return the kindness package for this mysterious member, but will wait until closer to the holiday's to send it out!

Is that dastardly fellow at it again? In the 58 nickels, i noticed the Ds are like 20 to 1 to the P. Anyway. I heard this nefarious fellow moved, quite recently, and left no forwarding address, overseas. Sad you can't send him that "return the kindness" package. Although he is ever greatful, from what I've heard about him. I hear he's already 1 roll deep into another package. He must have way too much time on his hands, this psycho :angelic:. He hopes everything finds you well.

The dastardly fellow probably doesn't know I work for the USPS and can track ANYBODY down LOL. Wonder if I should worry that the bored psycho knows my address. ! :wideyed::wideyed:
