What? Unplated? Prior to late 1982, cents were not plated. Looks like a possible die chip in the mint mark. NAV IMHO.
It's not unplated, but it wasn't misinformation on YouTube either. Unplated cents are only found in years after 1982, as that is when they were given a copper layer on a zinc planchet. And when the mint doesn't add the copper layer, that is what is called an unplated cent, which is a rare error.
Sure there is an "unplated" version, Denver made 4,139,357,254 of them that year. What they didn't make was a "plated" version.
