    Greetings @cplradar

I always have nostalgic memories when I read about Alexander Jannaeus coins because they were among my first ancients. I was not able to access all of the links you posted but what I saw was interesting. I have a few.

Five- and seven-ray designs. Interesting, @cplradar!

And wow! That's quite an assembly, @Deacon Ray!

Outside my collection focus, but I have one.

I knew that was going to happen, that the PDF would move. I have a local copy and it is published under a copyleft license

I have four but have never 'warmed up' to them. I have several friends who really like 'Biblical' coins and flyspeck them seeing points that most of us do not suspect are there. They are way outside my interest. Some of the most desirable (to specialists) are crude and ugly even more than Byzantine but just have never appealed to me as much. The few I have tend to have some technical feature (I like technical collecting) like sprues that show how they were made. Perhaps if I could read the language and found the history of that period more interesting, I would feel differently???

A while back I decided that I was going stop at 72 Judaean coins. 72 is a great number when your designing a poster because it is neatly divisible by so many numbers. 12 rows of 6 or 8 rows of 9 etc. When I achieved 72, I got an email from one of my dealers, that he had some coins with Hendin numbers that were not on my poster. (I send electronic copies of my posters to dealers who I have been ordering for a long time). Anyway, it’s up to 84 now.
