I have dementia, all I remember is they are mine. They are round and have faces on them. You can return them now. Thanks
So don't read them. They are not spam. They are articles about the world of coin collecting. Maybe you prefer 5000 posts to grade your Morgans, and I don't complain, and I find them incredibly boring and redundant. This Canadian Police department is trying to find the owners of a rather extensive Canadian coin collection in Vancouver. Just a quick look and you can see how extensive and meticulous it is. It happens to be interesting. If you don't find it interesting then have some self control and read something you might find more interesting...
I reserve the right to criticize these threads that belong in Police Gazette, rather than a coin forum. You post the same garbage endlessly, with intent of getting attention, like a 5 year old. You were always a spammer, Ruben, and are still a spammer. So, if you have nothing constructive about coins to post, why waste everybody’s time with endlessly repetitive garbage? I guess you have no other form of entertainment, Ruben. Thought you were banned from here a long time ago.
I am not Ruben, and you are being a flat out jerk. The only right you have is to not read it if you don't like it. You don't have the right to violate forum rules.
You're just using it as an excuse to continue your whining because we don't want a forum for numismatic crimes. Boo hoo!
The title of this Forum is Coin Chat, and that doesn't limit the posts to just ones specific members may like or not like. If you don't like a specific post, then post a better one or start a different thread. Stay cool . Jim
My opinion, as said before, if someone is willing to take all the ridicule, then have at it. I feel provoked when @cplradar as do many here. If he is gonna rile up the crowd, then he should be able to handle getting called out, and respond like one with a defense of his very loud statement. If you cant say nothin nice then just don't say it at all? Some folks get tired of a person teaching coin theft, I do, there is much more to coin collecting than worrying about someone stealing it. For Christ sakes protect it. Don't get taken twice, then move on!
If the discussion coin theft and how stolen coins are passed through the market place and how that can be prevent provokes someone, I doubt the problem is with the topic. It exposes a blind spot many have with regard to this very serious problem in the community. And that is exactly why it needs to be openly discussed. The name calling, insults, calling on your preferred deity etc however, is nonsense. One can be civil and it wouldn't hurt for a little soul searching on this matter. And the biggest players in this industry probably have the most soul searching to do. Nobody deserves to be robbed. Even the biggest buffoon with the most insecure practices doesn't deserve to be robbed. Theft is a criminal act and dealing in stolen merchandise is likewise a criminal act. All coin collectors and all coin dealers are targeted by the criminal element. It is a hidden cost of collecting and we all have a stake in a more secure trading network. We need to lower the barrier for identification, reporting and the return of stolen coins. We also need to teach and encourage better practices by collectors in keeping track of their inventory and receipts so that when coins are stolen, they can be individually identified. When a collection of coins is stolen and the police report says that a collection of coins is stolen, it doesn't do a darn thing to help identify the collection or track the individual coins.
Enough already ! If he wants to post about this topic then he can post about it. If you don't want to read it then it's simple - don't read it ! But enough of this senseless bickering about it ! And yeah, this applies to everybody !
What the Royal Mounties would consider as a valid identification of the collection would be interesting information. I assume the article would not publicize that, but the coins are going into auction otherwise. It is an inherent problem of how does one identify coins?
