A huge gold coin weighing 100 kilograms has been stolen from a museum in Germany.

Thieves struck Berlin’s Bode Museum in the early hours of Monday morning to make off with the coin, which bears the image of Queen Elizabeth II.

One has to have big pockets to afford that one. Now that I think of it, just to carry it around.

What I am wondering is why this is showing up as a new story. That robbery happen something like 4 years ago, March of 2017. They've already captured the thieves and gone to trial.

@cplradar is just PO'ed because we don't care for his idea of a forum dedicated to numismatic crime. So, he has been digging up every report he can find. He doesn't even comment on most of them. He just posts a link.

Hardly every article since there are DOZENS if not hundreds every week. This one was particularly interesting because I don't know how they stole such a big item under gaurd from a first class museum my that in Berlin. It is very sobbering.

You should spend more time learning how to spell. Don't blame it on Spell-Check!

I was going to say -- another one?

By the way, the link I provided appears to be the one from which "goldinvestinginc.com" stole the story, word-for-word, complete with photo. I wonder if Euronews would be interested in hearing about a bullion-hawker site stealing their content?

Yes I understand that, but the article he posted is dated recently and is describing the theft as if it just happened instead of 4 years ago.

Yes, I think they should be told.
