It's a modern cast replica to me,wait for the (ancient)people to chime in though.

It looks to be a follis of Galerius. Not sure as to whether or not it is real. Here is the identification from wildwinds:
    Galerius
    AE Follis
    301 AD
Obverse: MAXIMIANVS NOB CAES, laureate head right
Reverse: SACRA MONET AVGG ET CAESS NOSTR, Moneta standing left holding scales and cornucopiae, V to right, mintmark AQΓ.
RIC VI Aquileia 34b; Sear 14401.

Ok,it just doesn't have the ancient look to me.

I agree, the flan and surfaces look wrong.

With those kind of deposits on it you would expect the surfaces underneath to be rougher.

What is the weight in grams and the diameter in mm?

It is very hard to tell sometimes from just a photo. It could be legit.

I mean, just because it doesn't "look" ancient doesn't mean it isn't... ;)
That being said, I tend to agree with what Theodosius said, the green around the coin seems to conveniently "highlight" the lettering and stuff on the coin. I would expect there to be a little more wear for a coin with that kind of deposits. Looks like they tried to make it look more ancient. Could be wrong though. The weight in grams and diameter in mm would be awesome.

For funsies, here is the sole Galerius in the FF collection:
Galerius Maximian, Follis, Genio Populi Romani, PLG.png
    Galerius Maximian
    301-303 AD
    Follis
    Lyons Mint
Obverse: MAXIMIANVS NOB C, laureate, cuirassed bust right
Reverse: GENIO POP-VLI ROMANI Genius standing left by altar, modius on head, naked except for chlamys over left shoulder, holding patera and cornucopiae. A in right field. Mintmark PLG

I have a similar coin (obverse gives me the vibe it’s from the same “artist”) of Constantius NOB C AVG! …bought because it was a fun fake and $5.

Do all the experts here believe it is a cast? I believe the dies were fake.

Absolutely fake dies (not that I’m an “expert”). Besides the odd style… On my coin (which I believe was made by the same operation)… the legend ends in NOB C AVG… which is obviously not on original coins.
