This one cracks me up; "THESE ARE THE UNALTERED PICTURES. BOTH END COINS ARE ORIGINAL AND THE VDB HAS TAKEN ON SOME REAL NICE COLORS FROM BEING ON THE END!!!

    Same picture for both ends.

Ah yes, I work with salesmen. From what I can tell, there are two types of salesmen, and 95% are what you'd expect. Your best defense is knowledge. Whenever you buy anything, do the research first. With sources like the internet, you have thousands of free resources to detect fraud, and know what a fair price is for any given product. And be smart, do not buy from ebayers that do not offer refunds, especially when you question authenticity.

This kind of stuff cracks me up...the seller could potentially have multiple $50,000 rolls, but he has too many other rolls to liquidate and can't take the time validate what he has.

The buyer of that roll will probably find a couple of 2009 log cabin cents buried in that OLD OLD roll ;)

" The roll has a good feel to it." Huh? " Too many to process." Does this mean he's already tried and broken some up then rerolled them after culling? AND where does the $710 come from? What price guiode did he use to arrive at that figure? This deal smells like rotten cod fish.

Bingo and bingo. Most will find that nothing's free. Especially on ebay!

Yeah, some of these dealers we've seen make thousands of dollars in a single month selling baited rolls of Lincolns to suckers. That's just on the side. It goes on and on.

Everybody wants (at times expect) to get something for nothing these days.

The guy has no conscience. But, I'm sure somebody got the two 1909 VDBs worth maybe a hundred bucks on the ends and managed to convince themselves it was worth it.

Never ceases to amaze me how somebody can have something of high quality, that is verified with full disclosure and people will want to lowball and nit-pick it to death. Maybe not even want to buy it at all.

But if there's a little risk involved (in what is a scam) they can't wait to throw away hundreds of dollars.
