Back in the 'early days' of the Presidential dollar coins, I would go and get a new roll from the bank as each president came out. One time I came across this 2009 Tyler coin with a double overstrike on the rim. The P and the first star are both over the 9 of the date. (Two views of it shown in the second image). I remember when these coins came out someone told me that errors on the edge were pretty common. But with this one being a double overstrike, is it worth anything? 2009ovrstrk-o.JPG 2009PovrStar0a.JPG

It is too blurry for me to tell what it is.

If it's a double strike the whole outside of the rim should be double struck . I owned one that was both position A & B .

It's not a double strike. The edge lettering is done separately in a separate step from the strike on circulation coins. There is no strike on that machine the coins just roll though it.

It got hung up in the edge lettering machine. Probably it's worth a couple bucks more than face value to someone out there though.
If all of the lettering were present it would have been run through the edge lettering machine twice. That's reasonably valuable to collectors. The coin shown isn't that though.
