I can't believe there wouldn't be at least one 1909-SVDB ms65 in there for that price. Maybe even a 1955 ms65 doubled die too. That would be nice. And then maybe I've won the mega-bucks lottery and haven't been told yet.

  5. Wow! Someone will drop $500 on it. TC

I can't believe people pay good money for seeded rolls. I probably has $10 worth of coins in it.

Yeah, he's selling more just like it too! I say show the obverse. I'd rather take a chance on choosing between an '09-S, and an '09-S VDB.

The rolls I have got from ebay have never produced any coins that I wouldnt have been better of purchasing the coin individually. My guess is someone will regret winning this auction.

Thanks Spartan, I was deciding to do just that. A weak moment I guess, but there is always someone here who straightens me out in the last minuet.

Are you saying you were thinking of bidding on this roll?

Consider: if you had a roll that might actually have an 09 s-vdb in it, would you auction it off on ebay without checking it first? I mean, yes, I can understand that a person might not have time to check all his rolls, but would a person really not check his roll if there was even a small chance of a coin worth over $1000 in it?

The buyers should have gone to Toohaus.org to view these negative comments from previous roll buyers from this seller. One said “Roll was loosely and self wrapped bad condition all pennies in bad condition”. Another one said “Loose packed.. and VDBs put in the ends..will not Honor return policy on item”.

Great advice for anyone looking to purchase something that might be questionable.

But that leads to another question: why does this guy have a 99% positive rating?

why high ratings is because the unknowledgeable... aren't really sure they got a bad deal, they think they got a bad deal but not quite sure... so they leave a good but sad message.

"One" 1909 VDS coin sold for $1,200.00 elsewhere...so why would a buyer think somebody will sell a whole roll for $500.00?

Oh yes, I forgot the ebay seller said he was trying to sell the coins so he can buy more... ohhhhhhhhh, so that is why the roll went so "cheap"!!! DON'T even believe that!

We've got ripped off a few times through these big coin dealer's on ebay.

When they leave a good rating, they leave messages like this:

    ( 192[IMG])
Dec-24-09 17:36 ROLL LINCOLN WHEAT CENT PENNY 1909 VDB'S BOTH ENDS (#320453676261)transaction went fine... pennies between the ends were nothing exciting

Do buyers actually think if someone had a roll with a VDB on the end they would not open it and see if it was an S before the sold it? Ignorant buyers get what they deserve. Use your head before you bid. This is all common sense stuff.

sadly, too many people don't have common sense, nor use their head, which is why people can get away with stuff like that.
