    Yes, it appears you have a winner with the near date. My price guide only lists this in MS63 at $30.00. I'll let the others try and grade. I cannot make out the other as with the mint mark.

    Wide rims don't sell for nearly that price, I don't think.

    You are right of course. Nice to find but lot's of them out there at a better price than a guide will give.

    Wow. I've seen them usually top out around $5.
    Perhaps I should sell the ones I've found :p

    Is the wide rim a P mint and the blob S is the narrow rim? There are two separate coins shown. Asking because I had a blob S but with a narrow rim a year ago and I spent it since it didn't seem to be the rare one.

    very nice find.. but as said unless very high mint state a 10 dollar coin.. Hell I got mine for under 50...

    The Narrow and Wide rims are only found on 1979 SBA from Philadelphia. The 1979-S Proof Type 1 is filled in but is called a blob. The 1979-S Proof Type 2 is clear or rounded. Please do not confuse a type 1 and type 2 1979-S Proof with the 1981-S Proof type 1 and type 2.
