Okay I have the 2007 - P Presidential Oath Dollar with George Washington on the face. It is one of the limited Edition coins that only 1000 were made and only sold in the us ment gift shops. Now this is not the exact one I have this is the James Monroe version (I'm to lazy to take a pic and couldn't find a GW one) and I have the George Washington version. It is certified by the same people and it looks exactly the same. My question is do you all think this will be worth anything in the future?

Since it is a limited edition of only 1,000 I would venture to say yes. The collector interest of Presidential Coins is disappointing to say the least. It's a shame really. Who would have thought the Cheerios Sacs would have been worth what they are. I did !

I disagree. 15 non- Washingtons have been listed for sale on ebay ($49.99). None have sold.

Exactly my point! If there is absolutely ZERO interest now, there will probably be none in the future. ZERO have sold. ZERO!!!

I'm planning on making a set of the presidential coins. I might even get both the uncirculated and proofs, mainly because I like the $1 gold coins.

Now wait, you can't say that with a straight face. EBAY is not the only venue to buy or sell coins. So," Zero" comments certainly are inaccurate .

Show me other venues with recent sales. If you can't, I'm right again. Give it up, these coins are years old and there's no activity. You are wrong, for coins like these Ebay is the leading indicator. ZERO!!!

Dude your getting to serious haha... I didn't mean to cause a fight :(

  13. I thought I saw these for sale a while back on one of the TV coin shows (HSN maybe?). From what I can recall, they of course carried a high premium but I do not remember the price. Who knows what the interest in these will be in the future? For your sake, I hope they appreciate in value. TC

I really think the reason they haven't moved on ebay is there is virtually no knowledge that they exist. If people (such as myself) aren't aware that these were sold at the mint's gift shop, they won't even do an ebay search on them. If you really wanted to get the word out about them, I would try submitting an article to either a coin related magazine, or join a coin club that distributes a newsletter and submit your article there. I am a member of Numismatics of Wisconsin, and there are articles relating to similar items every issue.

An example of people buying the 'holder" and not the coin. "Limited" edition? I really don't think so. Put your money in Beanie Babys......

If there was only 1,000 produced what does it matter, Unc or otherwise:kewl:

1000? There are millions of these coins languishing in government vaults...just another way for someone to try and make a rarity out of an otherwise highly minted coin.
