2021 (P) Morgan Dollar & (P) Peace Dollar

We received the last of our orders, 3 Peace dollars. Packaging was lacking and one was loose in the box. None of our coins had any scratches or marks, so I feel lucky.

Finally received the coins that I ordered. Was able to purchase all but the .CC (which my wife ordered after-market to make us whole). Not sure I like any one better than the others.

Before I render my critique, I acknowledge that I am pleased and fortunate to have received any of these Morgan and the Peace dollars (i.e. just being able to order; and my Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA) completing their relocation on the day my first order shipped, chasing down the UPS delivery truck that wouldn’t forward my parcel, praying the USPS driver would continue informal delivery of my coins from the old CMRA address - which the USMint would not change - to the new address). I am pleased that I didn’t have some of the die-dings that I have seen on several of the coins being posted online (especially from the Denver mint). I wish there had been a greater mintage so that more of yenz might enjoy the good fortune.

On a critical note, these 2021 appear soft and mushy - alike weak strikes reminiscent (or worse than) counterfeits. As I commented elsewhere, the Peace dollar’s reverse looks like it has ‘bird-b-gone’ pigeon spikes rather than an array of sunshine, e.g. too many spikes, longer, and weak. Conversely, the design on the Morgan was largely unaltered - and looks good other than the seemingly weak strike. I like the plain luster….. but, I am looking forward to see if a cameo or proof-like presents itself.

That’s all. I don’t want to appear unhappy. Just floating a few critical observations.
