    On one of the pictures in the share it has a pcgs label that says 1868 2C proof I believe?

    The “WE” is the high part of the design and wears off first. Some pieces are weakly struck which makes the “WE” weaker from the beginning. I have an 1870 dated piece, in EF, which shows that.
