Was poking around in my registers and this caught my eye. Can’t tell if it’s post mint damage or an error. Can’t see any other damage other then from circulation.

Wow.. I can't decide if that's a Struck Through or Defective Planchet error. Neat.

Yes it should have mint mark even for philly,so most likely a grease filled die nice find. The anomaly doesn't appear to be damage i think you have a double win.

    i stand corrected.
    Thanks.
Now I'll be wondering if any of the post 2000 quarters I decided to put into the parking meters were no mint mark quarters. :-(

Because it goes under the T I'm thinking a defective planchet but that void should have flowed in when struck, so I'm not sure. @Fred Weinberg, @JCro57 what say you?

If you don't look too long I think I see the remnants of a "P" under the anomaly.

Thanks for the reply’s folks. If any of you recognize my posts you should know that I’m very much new to this and I hone in on circulation finds only.

I’m trying to learn basic differences between post mint damages and all the different types of actual mint errors.

Here is a better picture if this helps. I have finally been able to identify grease filled dies now which is super helpful but this one I em and was very unsure about

    Pretty cool. Thank you.

I like it even more that the error is right over the mint mark area. Pretty distinct
