Straits Settlement Dollar 1908

Did some research and came up short on the above. I am a newbie and just opened my first coin of an inheritance.... thousands to go. Any suggested web resources would be appreciated.

Straits Settlement is the area known as Singapore today. If your collection is mostly of world coins, then you might want to begin by posting a photograph and any questions in the World Coin section here at CoinTalk.

You may also want to ask your local library if they have any books on World coins such as the Krause Catalog of World Coins. You could have some fun looking up diffent countries & seeing how much some of the items may be worth.

Excellent, I live in NYC and have a library right next door. And you are correct, I have travelled so much in my career and love history.. pix to follow, am setting up a little spot in your typical NYC apartment
