The nakfa is the currency of Eritrea, with an exchange rate of 15 ERN to 1 USD.

I like these because they remind me of older American currency - small size, same size, and green all over.

Just like USD, the 1 denomination has no security strip as its presumably not worth enough to counterfeit, being valued at only $0.06.

OK, I give up. Where is Eritrea located? There are soooo many countries that I have never heard of. Have not kept up with geography of the world since high school. a loooong time ago.

Eritrea and Ethiopia have been in the news a lot lately with the conflict with the rebels in the southern Eritrea and northern Ethiopia.
