I was greatly surprised to receive photos of my coins from Todd so quickly! I gave him a group of coins on Saturday at the San Jose show, and on Sunday before I even got back home I received an email with a link to my new photos!!! (Perhaps having to fire him about 20 times at the FUN show made him a bit remorseful and he's trying to make up for it..... or NOT!)

So here are the new pretty Lincolns I just added to my personal collection...

I personally like the 18 D & 25 D toning. I know toning is an individual preference and given a choice I would pick those two. I just like that over the others. Great examples though.

    Beautiful coins.

Why doesn't NGC apply the '*' designation to any of them? They seem to qualify based on visual appeal.

That 1910 is a stunning little coin! I've never seen a blue cent in hand before; I have a few toned wheats, but they all gravitate toward the warmer colors. I'm a bit envious :)

Awesome pic's. I was going through my sence, ooops sorry, cents and noted either "S" or "D" or no mark at all. Why no Mark at all?

The ones with no mint mark were minted in Philadelphia.

Thanks Penny. I just picked up a Coin BlackBook, haven't had a chance to look through it yet. Would you know if the "P's" have much value, circulated?

Most p-mint Lincolns, even early ones, don't have that much value unless they're nice AU or uncirculated.

I thought the 1910 and the 1917 looked familiar. I checked my previus NGC certification records and the 17 was in a group I crossed from PCI which were purchased from Evan Gale@ Aspen Park Numismatics. Check his inventory often if you aren't already. I have found that NGC respects color copper and seems to understand it the best. I let them go in another deal because I had duplicates of the dates. It really interests me how coins find there rightful owner somehow. I'm glad you ended up with them. With the strong wheet lines don't you think the 18 D would go 65 or are you seeing something in hand that we can't. MT

Thanks everyone! I'm glad you all enjoy these pretty little guys too!

I agree about NGC not being so afraid to grade colorful copper, they do seem to have a better grasp on toning than PCGS. That's interesting that you recognized these guys, and yes I am very pleased that they are now in my collection - they indeed have a good home and are in good company!

I think what held back the 1918-D from a higher grade are the marks in the field between Liberty and IN, as well as the marks on the coat and the few minor ones in the field in front of the portrait and above O in ONE. I like it because it has such a great strike, toning and no spots.

The 10 and the 25-D are both great looking coins. Todd takes great photos of copper (and silver and nickel...)

I have looked at this thread 10 times and I still do not know what to say. So take this as a compliment and suffice it to say I am jealous.
