Interesting; I knew about them and their hand in the silver spike in the early 80s, but I had no idea they were also collectors. Ironic that their greed caused so many modern silver coins to be melted in a frenzy to sell silver bullion to them as quickly as possible. I crunched the numbers before attempting to search my first box of half dollars (in ~2008) and I estimated that roughly 30% of the box ought to be the 40% silver clad halves. Boy was I wrong.
I have my eye on a couple of Hunt coins coming up for auction shortly. Would love the provenance. They are nice coins, but going to be costly I feel.
