I will post more when I have the chance. But I am curious I have a 1 dollar WWII bill with Hawaii stamped on it. I was curious how much it was worth. It is in pretty good condition, except someone wrote 3 numbers on it which are small. Also my grandfather has an old large one dollar bill and I was curious of that value too. It is not in good condition and is uncrisp, but just wondering about that. Thanks!
First, Welcome to the forum. Your Hawaii note would depend on the condition, the lowest price I have is for one in vg codition for $22.00. The large one dollar note would depend on the year and grade.
Thank you. That is interesting to know. Yea, the one dollar bill is in poor condition. Still a neat thing to look at.
Kind of upset now. I don't want to keep bugging you guys, but I will have my full collection later this week/next week since it was apparently put in the safe deposit box by my parents. This is pretty recent I have 2 1963 series B singles in numbered order. Not sure on the price or anything, just thought this was a neat thing to get from where I work. Apparently we were giving out crisp one dollar bills from 1963 to 1995 out as change. I also have a somewhat worn 1950 Series D 10 dollar bill from work. I have a few other bills from the 1930s that I will know soon enough. ::edit:: Apparently the 1963 notes are Barr Notes. I found them online for 40 bucks for two consecutive ones, just like mine. Is this a good price if I am willing to sell them? I am really lucky to get these.
Barr noted are highly saught after since he was in office for such a short period of time. This is why they fetch such a high price, especially for 2 consecutive numbered bills. The 1950D $10 is worth about $15-20 in VF condition, less if its too beat up. For any bill, if you can post a picture thats the best route, otherwise, always include the date with any series notation and a short description. From that we can give better 'guesses' as to value.
