Kyrgyzstan had previously been represented in my set by a cool Eagle themed coin. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/picked-up-a-new-eagle.375404/ That one has found a new home and now I have this Heavily Armed Warrior coin. I already had the Lightly Armed Warrior (in both silver and base metal) but neither was certified. My goal continues to be a certified set (nothing against keeping these raw as I do with some, it is just part of the challenge of the set) and this one fit perfectly. It is considered a proof but the coin has elements of both a proof and a reverse proof. Plus the warrior and horse have a special mint applied black oxidation to really make the design pop. This is the coin that Dennis gave a new home. It is headed towards me. I love the former Soviet country coins, and the Golden Eagle is no exception. Mintage is only 3,000. Seller’s pics, as “the check is in the mail.”
