Ugh. Does that mean I have to get outta bed and get dressed and all that?

Can’t I send Elvis as my representative?

It’s about time he did something useful anyway.

Or Lucy, maybe? She’d LOVE a parade.

….. Seventy-six holed coins in the big parade…

I personally think Lucy would be a fine representative…. Just leave the barking chili dog at home!

I took a short absence from the forum and hobby. This is the first thread I see upon return... When I left, Lord M was The Guy I held in the Highest regard. His contributions are beyond admirable. Congrats and thank you, Rob. I am fortunate to have a skully and another piece or two from your collection, as well as the Lincoln and Victory, Kazuma had passed along to me in your name.

Hello @lordmarcovan and congratulations on the official cataloging of your collection of elongated coins (other thread). I don't know you that well but I always try to read your posts.

I post this token in your honor. You'll probably remember it.

Each time I look at it, somehow an image of you (in your hat full of pins) always comes to mind. Then I wonder whether the young elementary school boy who won this medal for being the fastest and most accurate on the soroban survived the bombings 8 years later. I think he must have and perhaps immigrated to the U.S. and brought this with him. (I like coin stories and when there's none, I make one up!) Congratulations again!

    ZoidMeister Hamlet Squire of Tomfoolery . . . . .

Late to the party as usual but I got my first PCGS slabbed coin and largest copper from Rob.

    All honor is well deserved.

I've neglected my CT friends here for quite some time as I've not posted anything since late last year nor have I bought a single coin in 2021, but I've come out of hiding to thank my favorite CT'er and friend Rob for all that he has done for me and the great folks here. Through one of Rob's contests I was exposed to a whole new area of collecting and it quite honestly changed my life. My appreciation for numismatics, passion for true learning and thirst for collecting have all directly been guided by Rob - thank you my friend.

Rob and I have done more than a few deals with each other and all of the ex. Shinnick coins still reside with me. One I will never part with had meant much to him and remains to me a reminder of the great eye for quality he has:

Wow, I’m glad to see you back! Wondered what had happened to you!

You know the story about those Lincolns, right? @kazuma78 sent you a 1909-VDB, yes?

Great idea, @Paddy54. I can't think of more deserving numismatist than Lord M.

Does this mean I can sleep in tomorrow and my bank will be closed?

What can I say that others haven't already said, and said better?

So, I'll simply say " Thanks ". For Yesterday, Today and for what I know will be Tomorrow !!

Amen to all the good things others have posted. I, too, am a member of your fan club!

My most recent arrival, along with a 2019 holed cent, is this 1798 cent. Also loved the stamps on the envelope.

This morning parade is going to be bigger than last years Brunswick Possum Day Parade!
And contraire to news reports in the Brunswick Daily News.. no possums were hurt, or injured durring that Parade,
Someone yelled" car'....and 20 possums layed down in the road and,....of course played possum!

Also if you have volunteered to drive a float this morning....please make sure you havent stoped by Randys A's house for a snort of "Randy's grading Juice!" And by chance "you did "we ask you not to smoke for at least 3 days!

Remember friends don't let friends grade after the use of grading juice!
